Virgin Media have confirmed rumours of receiving a takeover bid - of which is thought to be from a private equity firm. Virgin Media said - in a press statement - “Virgin Media Inc. announced today that it has received a proposal to acquire 100% of the common stock of the Company. The Company has not engaged in negotiations with the offeror”. More news on this as it develops.
