The Paramount Comedy channels will become rebranded as Comedy Central on the 6th April. Paramount Comedy 1 will become Comedy Central 1, Paramount Comedy 1 +1 will become Comedy Central 1 +1 and Paramount Comedy 2 will become Comedy Central 2. Click here for further reading at Broadcast Now.

Premium sports channel NASN has been rebranded as ESPN America (Virgin TV channel 533).

Russia Today has launched on Freeview today. Russia Today is a news channel and airs from 6am to 8am every day on channel 85.

Film4 on Freeview will move to a new channel number from the 3rd February (tomorrow). Film4 is moving from channel 32 to channel 15. You may need to rescan you set top box to pick up this change.

A new Sci-Fi & Fantasy section has been added to Virgin TV’s On Demand service. It’s available in TV Choice On Demand and features shows such as Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Star Trek and Babylon 5. In February, some Sci-Fi shows will be available for free via the Virgin Central channel.
