Men&Movies launching on Sky next week

Men&Movies – part of the Movies4Men bouquet of channels – is launching on Sky next week.

The announcement was made on Movies4Men’s Twitter account where they posted it will launch on Sky channel 228 on Monday 4th April.

The channel has been available on Freesat for some time but has only ever been available for Sky customers if they were willing to manually add it to their box via the Other Channels menu.

MGM HD free for all HD customers this weekend

MGM HD will be free this coming weekend.

The channel will be free for all Sky+ HD customers between Friday 1st April and Monday 4th April.

Sky says; “The weekend includes over 20 of MGM’s best films, back to back including Paul Verhoeven’s iconic RoboCop, Patrick Swayze’s greatest hour in Road House, Oscar® winning great Dead Man Walking and the action classic The Taking Of Pelham 123”.

Sony Entertainment Television launching in April

Sony Pictures Television are launching their first branded entertainment channel in the UK next month.

Sony Entertainment Television launches on Sky on the 7th April (Sky channel 157 with a +1 on 190).

The channel will have a mixture of drama, entertainment, comedy and movies.

Films airing on Sony Entertainment Television will include The Da Vinci Code and Philadelphia.

Channel 5 sister channels relaunch

Channel 5’s sister channels have relaunched today.

Fiver has become 5* (Five Star) and Five USA has become 5USA.

The main channel was rebranded from Five to Channel 5 last month on-screen.

5* is available on Freeview channel 30, Sky channel 176 (+1 on channel 177) and Virgin Media channel 151 (+1 on channel 152).

5USA is available on Freeview channel 31, Sky channel 174 (+1 on channel 175) and Virgin Media channel 153 (+1 on channel 154).
