Sky Arts 1 HD and Sky Arts 2 HD are now available on Virgin Media’s TV platform for the first time in their history.
Their standard definition counterparts are also now available to Virgin Media TV customers.
Sky Arts 1 (standard definition) is on channel 281, Sky Arts 1 HD is on channel 282, Sky Arts 2 (standard definition) is on channel 283 and Sky Arts 2 HD is on channel 284.
The long awaited Sky Sports red button service might be coming to Virgin Media next week.
According to the Virgin Media blog by the very reliable Media Boy we could expect to see the red button video services appearing for Virgin Media TV customers on Thursday 28th April.
The Sky Sports red button service is also expected on Virgin Media’s new Tivo service at some point in July.
The red button service will offer additional Sky Sports sports coverage (including live football), which Sky customers have been able to enjoy for some time.
A new pay-per-view film service has launched on digital terrestrial.
The service – known as TView – is available on channel 32.

Sky Vegas has been rebranded as Sky Bet on channel 864.
NHK World will be available in HD on Sky from May.
The Japanese news channel has been available in SD on Sky for some time (on channel 516).
NHK World HD will launch on Sky channel 507 and will be available to all Sky HD customers.
Sony Entertainment Television has launched on Sky channel 157.
The channel – known as SONY TV on the Sky EPG – also has a +1 channel on 190.
This new Sony-branded channel airs a mixture of drama, entertainment, comedy and movies from Sony’s back catalogue.
Sky Arts 1 HD and Sky Arts 2 HD will be available on Virgin Media from the 26th April.
The channels will be available at no extra cost for HD customers.
Sky Arts 1 HD will be on channel 284 and Sky Arts 2 HD will be on channel 285.
This is the first time the Sky Arts channels have been on the Virgin Media cable platform.
