Buzmuzik has launched

BuzmuzikThe new BuzMuzik channel from CSC Media Group launched yesterday.

It replaces the temporary placeholder channel Chart Show TV +1 on Sky channel 382.

Buzmuzik is also available on Freesat channel 516.

The channel boasts on Facebook it’s “the first ever social media music channel where viewers are completely in control of the music played and can interact with the channel and other viewers by using Text, Twitter and Facebook to get their photos, messages and shout outs up on TV”.

Channel 4 to launch dedicated channels for Paralympics

2012 Paralympic GamesChannel 4 will be covering the Paralympic Games for the first time this summer. They’re providing extensive coverage on Channel 4 and More 4.

It’s just been announced Channel 4 will launch three dedicated channels on Sky (available in HD and non-HD) in the Sports section of the Sky EPG. Those channels will also be available at Channel4.com.

A Virgin Media launch of the extra channels hasn’t been confirmed yet but it’s thought to be likely.

4seven to launch 4th July on all platforms

4sevenIt’s been announced Channel 4’s new catchup channel 4seven will launch on the 4th July (a clever marketing ploy with the launch date – 04/07/2012).

4seven will showcase repeats of popular Channel 4 shows from the past seven days and is described as a social-driven channel with the hope those repeats will fuel further discussion about programmes on social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter.

The channel will be available on Freeview (channel 47 in post-switchover areas – another clever marketing ploy with the channel number), Sky (likely replacing More4 +2 on channel 269), Virgin Media (channel number not confirmed) and Freesat (channel number not confirmed).
