Changes to Discovery channels this month

There will be several changes to the Discovery bouquet of channels to accommodate the launch of TLC later this month.

Discovery Travel & Living, Discovery Real Time +1 and Discovery Real Time will all cease broadcasting at the end of April to make way for TLC, and other channels will be changing places on the Sky EPG.

Details of the Sky changes:

TLC (HD or non-HD depending on your service) will launch on channel 125
TLC +1 will launch on channel 195
DMAX +1 and DMAX +2 will be moving or closing down
Discovery Real Time and Real Time +1 will close down
Discovery Home & Health will be on channel 240
Discovery Home & Health +1 will be on channel 241
Discovery Travel & Living will close down
ID will be on channel 522
Animal Planet (HD or non-HD depending on your service) will be on channel 523
Discovery Turbo will be on channel 524
Discovery Science will be on channel 525
Discovery History will be on channel 535
Discovery History +1 will be on channel 536
Animal Planet +1 will be on channel 549
ID +1 will launch on channel 551
Discovery Science +1 will be on channel 557
Discovery non-HD (on HD boxes) & HD placeholder (on non-HD boxes) on channel 561
Animal Planet non-HD (on HD boxes) & HD placeholder (on non-HD boxes) on channel 562

Sky Sports Day Pass on Now TV

All six Sky Sports channels are now available as a pay-as-you option for the first time.

There is no long-term subscription with the new service from Sky called Now TV.

Now TV has just started offering all six Sky Sports channels for £9.99 a day – they call it the Sky Sports Day Pass.

Now TV streams these channels – along with others – on your laptop, PC, tablet or mobile device.
