ITV1 +1 has launched today on Freeview channel 33, Sky channel 131 and Virgin Media channel 114.
If you have Freeview you may need to rescan your box to receive the new timeshift channel. You’ll also need to rescan to keep receiving ITV2 +1 as this moves to a new multiplex and is now available 7pm-4am instead of being a 24 hour channel. After a rescan ITV2 +1 will move to channel 27, and ITV1 +1 appears on channel 33.
The following channels have ceased broadcasting today, 1st January 2011;
Bravo (Sky channel 123, Virgin Media channel 136)
Bravo +1 (Sky channel 124, Virgin Media channel 137)
Bravo 2 (Sky channel 153, Virgin Media channel 138)
Challenge Jackpot (Sky channel 867, Virgin Media channel 141)
The channels have been closed down as Sky bought the Living TV Group in 2010, and announced they would close the Bravo slate of channels, Challenge Jackpot, and they will also be rebranding Living as Sky Living in 2011.
Sky will start having a separate EPG lineup for Sky+ HD customers from February 2011.
For example, Sky1 is on channel 106 at the moment with Sky1 HD on channel 170, whereas from February the standard definition version of Sky1 will move to channel 170 with Sky1 HD being moved to a much better EPG position of channel 106.
Channel numbers will remain unchanged on non Sky+ HD boxes.
The new EPG lineup will be known as “HD Swap Bouquet” on Sky+ HD boxes, and standard boxes will have the “Standard Bouquet”.
