ITV1 has rebranded as ITV

A huge rebrand of the ITV network of channels has taken place today.

The changes see ITV1 renaming back to its original name of ITV (names for ITV2/3/4/CITV remain unchanged).

Your EPG will reflect the new channel name for ITV.

ITV1 HD has also been renamed as ITV HD as part of the rebrand, and ITV1 +1 has become ITV +1.

ITV1 +1 now available

ITV1 +1 has launched today on Freeview channel 33, Sky channel 131 and Virgin Media channel 114.

If you have Freeview you may need to rescan your box to receive the new timeshift channel. You’ll also need to rescan to keep receiving ITV2 +1 as this moves to a new multiplex and is now available 7pm-4am instead of being a 24 hour channel. After a rescan ITV2 +1 will move to channel 27, and ITV1 +1 appears on channel 33.

With regards to what region ITV1 +1 will be – Digital Spy reports “six regional variants will be transmitted: London; “South East Macro” encompassing Meridian and Anglia; “West Macro” encompassing Wales, West and West Country; Central; a single region for Yorkshire and Tyne Tees; and a further single region for Granada and Border”.
