MTVN HD rebrands as MTV Live HD

MTVN HD was rebranded as MTV Live HD on Monday 23rd April to bring it in line with other countries which rebranded last year.

MTV Live HD is available on Sky channel 358 and there is also a standard definition version of the channel on Sky channel 386 for non-HD customers.

MTV Live HD also appears on Virgin Media channel 310.

MTV HD and MTV Live launching soon

MTV’s general entertainment channel will become available in HD from next week.

MTV HD will be a simulcast of the standard definition version of MTV. HD viewers will see the channel replace the current MTV on Sky channel 126 from the 13th February.

Also, MTVN HD will rebrand as MTV Live HD on Sky channel 358 from the 23rd April.

In addition to the rebranding to MTV Live HD, a standard definition version of the channel will launch on the same date, which means non-HD viewers will also be able to watch programmes such as MTV World Stage and MTV Unplugged on the channel.

New look MTV has arrived

MTV have rebranded with new logos.

Also MTVN HD was due to rebrand as MTV Live HD on the same day but the channel is still known as MTVN HD so it’s thought this change has been postponed.

The new logos for all MTV channels are based on the same theme as those on MTV in the US, dropping the iconic “Music Television” subtext from the bottom.

Some content will also now be aired in widescreen 16:9 format.

Changes to MTV channels from July

MTV will be rebranding some of their channels on the 1st July.

MTV channels will also be available in 16:9 widescreen for the first time in their UK history on that same date.
